2. Deal Score & Value Assessment
Every vehicle gets a Deal Score from 0 to 100 calculated from market data — price relative to comparable vehicles, mileage, age, brand reliability, and resale strength. Higher scores mean better value. The score is independent of which dealer is selling the vehicle and is not influenced by affiliate compensation.

3. Risk Indicators & Branded Title Detection
CarClever flags branded titles (salvage, rebuilt, flood, fire, lemon, buyback) directly from listing data and forces a “WALK AWAY” recommendation regardless of how good the price looks. For vehicles with unverified or unreported title status, CarClever displays an estimated risk score with clear language that title and accident history should be independently verified before purchase. Recall data is sourced from NHTSA at the model level — CarClever clearly labels recall information as model-specific rather than VIN-specific.
4. Vehicle History Reports & CPO Status
When dealers provide a Carfax report link with their listing, CarClever surfaces it as a “View Carfax Report” button on every relevant surface — search results, vehicle details, comparison view, and your saved garage. Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) listings are flagged with a CPO badge so you can identify factory-backed inventory at a glance.
5. Affordability & Total Cost of Ownership
See the real monthly cost of ownership — not just the sticker price. CarClever estimates financing payment based on credit score, insurance based on driver age and ZIP, fuel costs based on MPG and annual mileage, and maintenance reserves based on vehicle age and mileage. Five-year total cost of ownership projections include depreciation. All estimates are clearly labeled, with assumptions disclosed and editable. CarClever does not provide actual financing offers — verify final pricing and financing terms with the dealer.
6. Vehicle Comparison
Compare two or more vehicles side-by-side. CarClever ranks them on Deal Score, ownership cost, reliability, and resale strength — and tells you which vehicle leads on each dimension and where the trade-offs lie. The comparison surfaces dealer location, days on market, Carfax availability, and CPO status across all candidates.
7. Save to Garage & Guided Decision Prompts
Save vehicles you want to shortlist. Your garage stores key details — price at save time, deal score, dealer location, Carfax link, CPO status — so you can review your favourites for the session in one place.
CarClever suggests next-step prompts after each search or analysis — “Analyze deal risk on A,” “Affordability check for B,” “Compare A vs B” — so you can move forward confidently without needing to know the right command. Just tap the suggested prompt or type your own follow-up.
